Woodcraft Owl

I completed this woodcraft owl on my 2nd last day in hospital (twas a really boring day).

The owl is made up of various wood pieces, each one a certain shape and with slot(s). It is put together by slotting corresponding pieces which are numbered. That's why you can see some writing on the wood pieces cos I used a pen to label them.

Chunyu bought this from Taiwan - thanx mate!

My first pair of socks

I'm very proud of this pair of purple socks cos they were the first time I knitted socks and were actually on time for my fren's birthday :D

I often start on projects for people's birthdays but am unable to complete them in time for the birthday...

Thank you Tricia for taking and sending me these pictures :)

I knitted a baby blue elephant

The end product looks nothing like the picture in this free pattern I got off the internet.

http://www.knittinginstitute.co.uk/pdf_files/FreePatternFun1.pdf

Anyway the elephant is very soft & huggable.
Here's a picture of Reika with the elephant :)

Invictus

Guess what film I just watched?

By William Ernest Henley (originally untitled)

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Invictus is Latin for unconquered
